Early morning house fire on Albert Street West (updated)

10:30 a.m. update:
A news release issued today by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services states that crews were able to contain and extinguish a residential fire on Albert Street West.

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Original information:
Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a report of a house fire in the 200 block of Albert Street West shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday. 

The street was closed to traffic as firefighters were seen battling a fire in the upper level of the residence.
