Fire crews were called to an industrial fire in the 1100 block of Peoples Road shortly after midnight yesterday.
In a news release issued today, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services stated that hydraulic oil in contact with an electrical source was the cause of the blaze.
Firefighters were able to knock down and extinguish the fire, however, equipment was severely damaged at the industrial facility.
Fire Services does not consider the fire suspicious in nature.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
