Extensive damage caused by Borden Avenue garage fire

On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service crews were called to a reported residential garage fire in the west end of the city.

Just before 3 a.m., fire crews responded to a fire in a garage in the 400 block of Borden Avenue. Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire. There is extensive damage to the garage.

The fire is not considered suspicious in nature and remains under investigation. There are no injuries to report.
