GALLERY: Pierre Poilievre hits the road in northern Ontario

Conservative leader spent the past week preaching his 'common sense' ideas to northern communities, including Wawa, Hearst, Sudbury and Elliot Lake

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has wrapped up his week-long tour of northern Ontario, where he preached "common sense" ideas to receptive crowds and posed for plenty of photos.

His northern road trip included stops in Fort Frances, Wawa, Hearst and Kirkland Lake, as well as events in Sudbury and Elliot Lake on Friday.

Our sister sites Sudbury.com and ElliotLakeToday covered the final two events. You can read their coverage HERE and HERE.

Although Poilievre did not stop in Sault Ste. Marie this time around, he did speak to SooToday over the phone while en route to Kirkland Lake on Wednesday. You can read that story HERE.
