The annual Sustain Algoma Expo is on tap for this weekend.

The 2024 event takes place on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Johnson Township Community Centre in Desbarats.

Entomica Insectarium will showcase its exotic bug collection, Nottingham North will have archery to try and Clean North will have their composting worms.

With over 40 different vendors and exhibitors taking part, there will also be a variety of activities for children.

The expo is being hosted by the Kensington Conservancy as a fundraising event for their conservation efforts in the St. Joseph Channel area and admission is free, but donations are accepted.

The event runs until 2 p.m.

Township of Johnson's annual breakfast buffet will also be held upstairs and the Johnson Farmers' Market will be outside under the pavilion.

Applications are still being accepted for any businesses, organizations or individuals who are interested in having a table at this event.

More information on the expo is available on the Kensington Conservancy website.
