Environment Canada has also ended its weather travel advisory for the Agawa - Lake Superior Park area.

Original story below:

A section of Highway 17 has shut down north of Sault Ste. Marie due to weather conditions.

As of 9:30 a.m., Ontario 511 says the stretch between Batchawana Bay and Wawa is closed in both directions.

A winter weather travel advisory is currently in effect for the Agawa - Lake Superior Park area.

“Heavy snow causing reduced visibility will continue for a few hours before ending from west to east later this morning,” Environment Canada said.
