Lake Street access to Bellevue Park shut down for summer

People heading to Bellevue Park won’t be able to do so using Lake Street for most of the summer.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie says access via that route will be closed off as of Monday, June 17 so crews can do work associated with Lake Street reconstruction. 

The closure is expected to last about three months. 

“Visitors are asked to use the entrance located on Shore Drive or the Pine Street Marina parking lot,” said the city in a news release.

“Take caution in the area and obey all signage.”
