Library screening documentary to offer 'sense of hope' on climate

Film maps out path to more ecologically sustainable and equitable future, library says

Looking for a special way to celebrate Earth Day?

Join Clean North, Sault Climate Hub, and the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library for a screening of the documentary film 2040. 

Directed by Damon Gameau, 2040 "maps out a pathway for change that can lead us to a more ecologically sustainable and equitable future," the library said in a release.

"Are you seeking a sense of hope when it comes to climate change? Then in honour of Earth Week, come watch 2040 with us!"

The film will be shown in the Program Room at the downtown James L. McIntyre Centennial Library, 50 East St., Sault Ste. Marie, on Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m.

Runtime for the film is 92 minutes.

Admission is free, but space is limited.
