Residents of Searchmont, Heyden, Havilland and Goulais can expect to be without power from 7 a.m. to  5 p.m. tomorrow.

Algoma Power says this planned outage is required for substation maintenance.

In a news release issued today, the power company asks customers to not perform any work in conjunction with this outage. All customer work requires direct planning through Algoma Power’s Customer Service Department.

"While outage work is performed as effectively and efficiently as possible, circumstances may arise that shorten or extend these events (such as equipment failure, inclement weather, scope of work, etc)," the release states. "Algoma Power regrets any inconvenience this may cause for our customers."
