Local group offers pickleball lessons for beginners

Soo Pickleball is hosting a three day learning experience for those interested in the sport.

In their press release, the group says they will be hosting these lessons at the eight new courts at the Elliot Sports Complex on July 26 to 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The lessons will build on each other so it is recommended that participants attend for all three days.

There is a $15 fee for the lessons.

No experience or equipment is necessary, as the city has loaned extra equipment to Soo Pickleball's organization.

Several communities have opened pickleball courts or added pickleball court lines to existing tennis courts.

Soo Pickleball is a group of over 300 pickleball enthusiasts and membership is currently free.
