Male arrested after domestic investigation

Information was received from the female victim that she was assaulted by the accused

On August 5th officers entered into a domestic investigation involving a 24-year-old female and 33-year-old male.

Information was received from the female victim that earlier this day she had been assaulted by the accused when he punched, slapped and kicked her at her residence.

The accused allegedly dragged the victim out of her residence and was hitting her with his sandal.

The victim was able to break free and the accused allegedly threw a case of beer at the victim, hitting her in the back.

The victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation revealed that the accused had been assaultive to the victim over the past months.

The accused had sexually assaulted the victim multiple times; on one occasion the victim’s hands and feet were bound.

The accused has been arrested and charged with assault (2 counts), sexual assault (2 counts), assault with a weapon, and forcible confinement. The accused appeared in weekend bail court.
