Man charged after $1,200 of metal taken

On October 27, 2018 officers with the Break and Enter Unit of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 47 year old Larry Roberts of Brule Road for theft.

It is alleged that on October 10, 2018 the accused stole approximately $1,200 worth of metal from a business in the 100 block of Industrial Court B.  Later that morning, the accused sold the metal for a profit at a local business.  The staff found the sale suspicious and police were contacted.  Officers located the accused on October 27th, and he was taken into custody.

He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of stolen property.  He will appear in court on December 3, 2018.
