Aug. 29 update:

The open air burning restriction has been lifted, effective Aug. 29, 2019. Burning permits are still required.

Aug. 2 original story:

Jocelyn Township Fire Department has issued a fire ban, effective Aug. 1, 2019. 

Open air burning is not permitted. This includes burning of grass, brush and debris.

Small campfires for cooking and/or warmth are permitted.

The Township of Jocelyn is one of four municipalities on St. Joseph Island.
