This event not only commemorates Pink Day but also aims to support 2SLGBTQIA+ equity and wellness initiatives within our community.

The Klub, a community organization dedicated to promoting 2SLGBTQIA+ liberation, is thrilled to announce the launch of its first Food Fundraiser campaign.

This initiative aims to raise funds to support our programs and events that provide safer spaces for queer and trans individuals in our community.

The Food Fundraiser event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 10, at the Algoma Youth Wellness Hub located at 124 Dennis St.

Participants can pick up their orders between 12 and 2 p.m. or 4 and 6 p.m. The highlight of the event is the delicious loaded jacket potatoes offered at a price of $8 on their own or $14 as a combo, which includes a side of coleslaw and a drink.

The proceeds from the fundraiser will directly contribute to funding advocacy, celebration initiatives, and recreation and art events organized by The Klub.

"As we commemorate Pink Day, we stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, advocating for our rights and well-being."

If you're unable to purchase food on the day of our fundraiser, you can still contribute to The Klub's efforts by:

"We understand that not everyone can attend the fundraiser in person, but we invite everyone to join us in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and wellness initiatives," added Caio.

"Your contributions, whether through food purchases, donations, taking one of the Klub’s trainings, sharing with your family and friends, or attending a future event, CAN make a significant impact in advancing 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and creating a more inclusive society for all."
