Nearly $16,000 was raised by the inaugural PUC Services Inc. golf tournament.

The PUC's inaugural charity golf tournament was a big winner, raising nearly $16,000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association of Algoma. 

Held on July 26 at Crimson Ridge, the event was held in honour of Cecil Mah, a PUC employee who passed away in 2016.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON (July 29, 2024) — On a perfect day for golf, 144 local golfers came together on Friday, July 26th, to make PUC Services Inc.’s inaugural charity golf tournament a resounding success. With the support of PUC employees, local sponsors, and community members, the event raised an impressive $15,924.25 for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) of Algoma.

Held in honour of our beloved team member, Cecil Mah, the tournament featured 36 teams competing on the beautiful Crimson Ridge Golf Course. Participants enjoyed snack bars on the course, an array of fabulous raffle prizes donated by local sponsors, and a fantastic dinner to conclude the event.

“We are thrilled with the turnout and the generosity shown by all who participated,” said Robert Brewer, CEO & President of PUC Services Inc. “We are beyond grateful for the overwhelming support in honoring Cecil’s memory. We hope that the funds raised will significantly support the essential work the Canadian Mental Health Association does in our community.”
