July was a busy month for the Sault Ste. Marie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police: 23 car crashes, 143 traffic stops and 128 charges laid.
Among the typical charges — speeding, impaired driving and stunt driving — were some notable one-offs: littering, failing to wear a motorcycle helmet, and driving with an open container of liquor.
