Save the date; stylish sisters to hold third annual hospital foundation fundraiser at Machine Shop

Save the Date for the Sault Area Hospital Foundation’s 3rd Annual Clothing Collective.

Love the thrill of the find? Can’t resist a good deal? You don’t want to miss this event! Local fashionistas, save the date Sept. 27 for the 3rd Annual Clothing Collective in support of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF).

The event will be held on The Machine Shop’s mezzanine level, doors opening at 7 p.m.

The Sault Area Hospital Foundation presents a fashion fundraiser hosted by stylish sisters Dr. Bridget Lamberts and Dr. Joanna Lamberts, featuring clothing from the Sault’s finest closets and curated by Daryl Wier of 49th Apparel.

“It is such a fun event that brings together hundreds of women for a great cause,” says Dr. Joanna Lamberts. “We are proud to support the Sault Area Hospital Foundation.”

What is a clothing collective? A shopping event where people can purchase pre-loved clothing and accessories at a fraction of the original price in a curated, boutique-like setting. Women’s clothing and accessories are available in a range of sizes and styles. All proceeds from the sale support the Sault Area Hospital.

“We’re accepting pre-loved women’s clothing (think gently used items that you no longer wear, but someone else would love!),” says Daryl Wier, owner of 49th Apparel. “If in doubt about what to donate, check out our Facebook do’s and don’ts post.”

How to donate? Drop off your clean clothes (garbage bags are fine) to either the Sault Area Hospital Foundation office at 750 Great Northern Road or 49th Apparel, 480 Queen Street East by Sept. 17, 2019.

“It’s our third year and we’re hoping it’s our best one yet,” says Dr. Bridget Lamberts. “New this year, we’re putting a twist on our auction and also partnering with some local beauty businesses. Stay tuned!”

Tickets are $40 and include a complimentary cocktail, yummy bites and the chance to bid on stylish silent auction items. Purchase your tickets now at the following locations: 49th Apparel at 480 Queen St. West or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Office at Sault Area Hospital.
