Snowfall and snowmobiles make the dream team at Snowarama

Snowmobilers enjoy snowy Saturday morning at this year’s Snowarama in support of Easter Seals Kids

The 49th annual Sault Ste. Marie Snowarama returned to the trails Saturday morning in support of Easter Seals Kids.

The Sault is one of 10 communities across the province taking part in this year’s initiative where snowmobilers are riding to help support children with physical disabilities.

Participants rode along the Sault Trailblazers Snowmobile Club’s groomed trails, beginning their trek at the Algoma Rod and Gun Club earlier this morning.

The ride took them to a bonfire break near Ranger Lake Road, then to Searchmont Resort for lunch, finishing with the return trip back to Algoma Rod and Gun.

Organizers in the Sault say this year’s involvement wasn’t as big compared to past events, but they’re still pleased with Saturday’s turnout.

Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids 2023 has raised more than $42,000 in donations provincewide.
