St. Vincent Place needs your help during Big Blue Food Drive

St. Vincent Place's Big Blue Food Drive is back and the organization is asking for volunteers to help with the event. 

There are several roles needed for the Oct. 1 event, including driver/runners to collect the donations, as well as sorting, packing, and organizing the donations once they arrive at St. Vincent Place.

St. Vincent Place is excited to announce that our annual Big Blue Food Drive is all set for Oct. 1, and we’re looking for volunteers to help with the event. The Big Blue is a one-day, city-wide food drive that helps to fill our food bank shelves for the start of winter. Donors simply place their donations at their curb by 10 a.m. on the day of the event and our volunteers come collect the donations.

We rely on the support of volunteers to make the event a success. We have several roles we need to fill for Oct. 1, including driver/runners to collect the donations, as well as sorting, packing, and organizing the donations once they arrive at St. Vincent Place.

For those who want to help out while getting some fresh air, we are also looking for volunteers to help drop off flyers in mailboxes (in their own neighbourhoods or beyond) between now and the event. This is a great way for anyone to help, but particularly for high school students who need to earn some volunteer hours.
