Are you a game enthusiast? Do you like reading? Well then, we have the summer challenge for you!

The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library is offering a reading challenge for individuals between the ages of 12 and 19 that is loosely based off the popular board game ‘Candyland.' Be sure to make a ‘sweets heist’ of your favourite sweets all the way to the Candy Castle. Simply choose a path of challenges all the way to the finish line to earn ballots for the prize draw on August 31, 2024. The contest will run the whole summer, so choose a path and complete the tasks for a chance to win some amazing prizes!

To access your game board and rules, and to submit a ballot for a completed task, visit our website at ssmpl.ca and print a copy, access online by filling out the Google Form, or come into either the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library or North Branch for a physical copy.

This year, you will be able to track your progress, talk with fellow participants, and submit completed challenges through the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library’s Discord chat. Interested participants will fill out the Google Form to receive an invite to the chat server. So, ready your sweets taste buds and prepare for the heist.
