Thunder Bay racks up third homicide in a month

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a man who was found unresponsive under the North Cumberland Street bridge on Wednesday.

THUNDER BAY -  A man found unresponsive under a north-side bridge on Wednesday was murdered say Thunder Bay Police.

Officially it's the fourth homicide in Thunder Bay this year and the third this month. 

Thunder Bay Police have charged a 23-year-old man with second-degree murder after the victim was found on North Cumberland Street.

According to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release, 31-year-old Kevin Roundhead of Thunder Bay was found unresponsive under the North Cumberland Street bridge at McVicar Creek shortly after 4 p.m.

Roundhead was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Witnesses said the victim was found with a bloody and swollen face.

Police have charged a 23-year-old with second-degree murder and breach of probation.

The investigation is ongoing.
