Tickets on sale for Korah’s 14th Super Bowl raffle

‘You’re not going to get a package like that anywhere else’: This year’s $40,000 prize package includes two tickets to the big game, five-night stay in Las Vegas, and other exclusive fan experiences

Korah Collegiate principal Steve Caruso is encouraging residents to try their chance at “the city’s biggest sports ticket of the year” as the school gears up for their 14th annual PTA Super Bowl Raffle.

Taking place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, 2024, Super Bowl LVIII will offer a once in a lifetime experience for two lucky people. This year’s prize package is arguably one of the most luxurious in the local raffle’s history – valued at $40,000 in Canadian dollars.

In addition to winning a pair of Super Bowl tickets in the 400 level (corner end zone), this year’s winner will also receive:

  • Two airfare tickets to Las Vegas
  • Five-night stay in four-star Las Vegas property (Feb. 8-13)
  • Two tickets to pregame tailgate party (food and beverage included)
  • Two tickets to Friday night welcome reception (open food and drink)
  • Two tickets to the NFL Experience
  • Deluxe gift package with goodies
  • Travel to and from airport

“You’re not going to get a package like that anywhere else,” Caruso said. “You don’t even have to be a football fan to buy raffle tickets. The game is one night, and you’ll be in Vegas for five days. You can take in Vegas and all these amazing attractions.”

“They also make a great stocking-stuffer.”

Over the last 13 years, Korah has raised more than $285,000 in profits from the raffle.

The funds support a variety of sports programming and other extracurriculars at the school, which is incredibly appreciated by the staff and students according to their principal.

“The community has supported this tremendously,” Caruso said. “Whether or not they support football, they support Korah which is always nice to see and hear. We get so many phone calls and emails from out-of-towners who used to live in the Sault and want tickets, so we try to accommodate them too.”

“Every cent has to be spent, and it all goes back to the kids,” he added. “There’s no program that is exempt from applying for Super Bowl funds.”

Last year, Korah’s parent-teacher association raised approximately $14,000 based on 4,441 tickets sold.

Tickets for the raffle are $20 this year and will be sold right up to the draw date. The school has printed 6,000 tickets.

Student representatives will draw the winning ticket in front of a packed Korah gymnasium on Jan. 19 at 2:15 p.m. Caruso will attempt to call the winner in front of the school after the ticket is drawn.
