Oct. 7, 2017 - Tommy Lee and the Northern Ontario Party’s Algoma Riding Association are challenging all community and political leaders to show their support during the month of October and help fill the shelves at the Sault Ste. Marie’s Soup Kitchen.
It is time to put our political agendas aside for the moment and work together to raise food for those who are suffering in the North. As leaders of this Northern community, it is time for us to set an example and show the rest of Ontario what northerners are made of.
Let’s ensure our friends and neighbours have enough food to eat throughout the year, as no one in northern Ontario should ever have to go hungry.
If you'd like to help out, the Soup Kitchen is in desperate need of non-perishable foods, baby food, infant formula, lunch snacks for kids, and cleaning supplies. Monetary donations are always welcomed and appreciated.
Food and money donations will be accepted at the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre. This facility is located at 172 James St. in Sault Ste Marie and you can organize a food drop off by calling 705-942- 2694. If you like to donate money directly to the Soup Kitchen by credit card or by cheque you can do so by following this link.
Let’s work together to help fill the shelves of this wonderful community service and ensure no child, woman or man goes hungry. On behalf of the Northern Ontario Party and Tommy Lee, we like to thank all people past, present and those who are going to help out in the near future for your wonderful donations.
“You are truly the ones that have made the North a great and wonderful place to live!”
