Traffic at International Bridge slowly starting to climb

Crossings of the International Bridge were up in July over the same period in 2023.

The International Bridge Administration announced on Thursday that crossings in July 2024 totalled 121,027 for the month, up 9.3 per cent from July 2023.

Year-to-date, the bridge has seen 611,763 crossings as of the end of July, an increase of 17.2 per cent over the same stretch last year.

A breakdown of July's crossings follows:

• Full-fare passenger cars: 66,045 (up 5.0 per cent)
• Commuter fare: 42,553 (up 19.0 per cent)
• Car pulling trailers: 6,515 (down 0.8 per cent)
• Commercial trucks: 5,914 (up 6.9 per cent)
