The local United Way has issued a final call for people to participate in its annual "100 to Give Club."

The objective of the 100 to Give Club is to bring together 100 individuals who each contribute $1,000 in order to help leave a lasting impact on the community.

This year, an anonymous donor has stepped forward to match everyone's contribution — which effectively doubles each donation.

"Whether it's your first donation or an additional contribution, every bit makes a lasting impact on our community for years to come," says a news release from United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District.

Information on how to donate can be found at uwssmalgoma.ca/donate.
