On April 4, 2016 at 1:15 p.m., City Police arrested and charged a 39-year-old male after an investigation into a break and enter.

It is alleged that the male had entered an apartment on Wallace Terrace and was living there without the knowledge of the tenant, who was residing out of town.

It is further alleged that the accused damaged the apartment, was in possession of stolen property and provided police with a forged rent receipt.

At the time of the offences, the accused was on a recognizance of bail with numerous conditions stemming from an earlier domestic incident.

He was allegedly in the company of the female victim, putting him in contravention of his release conditions.

As a result, the accused was charged with break and enter and commit theft, mischief under $5,000, uttering a forged document, breach of recognizance (x3) and possession of property obtained by crime.

He will be appearing in bail court on April 5, 2015 at 10 a.m.
