Washout closes highway between Chapleau, Wawa

Closure expected to last a couple of days

A washout has closed Highway 101 west of Chapleau. 

Superior East OPP shared photos on Twitter of a washout near Highbrush Lake about 30 kilometres west of Chapleau. Initially traffic was reduced to one lane, but that quickly changed to a hill closure. 

OPP says Highway 101 is closed in both directions between Chapleau and Highway 651. The closure is expected to last one to two days.
