Weekend Outlook: Instability brings nuisance showers

Unstable air will hang out over the Great Lakes region this weekend, bringing equally unstable weather forecasts. A certainty is that temperatures will return to more seasonal patterns with this type of airmass.  I also know that the airmass is unstable enough to allow for isolated showers to develop - I don't know exactly where and when that might happen this weekend.  Maybe keep an umbrella nearby - just in case.

Scattered showers linger Friday morning, but we might see some brief sunshine in the afternoon as daytime highs settle in at 14°C.

Saturday brings a mix of sun and cloud as afternoon temperatures reach 19°C. There is a risk of an isolated shower throughout the day.

Mostly cloudy skies settle in for Sunday, and a cool northwest wind keeps daytime highs at 16°C. Again, the risk of a shower is a possibility.

The instability will exit early next week, ushering in a better chance of sunshine, warmer temperatures, and a respite from showers.
