Weekend Outlook: Summer begins with rain

All is not lost, as we could see some sunshine on Sunday
weather_weekend_outlook2

The first official weekend of summer will bring plenty of rain. An extensive storm system will cross the Great Lakes this weekend, bringing first cloud cover on Friday, followed by heavy rain on Saturday. All is not lost, as we could see some sunshine on Sunday. However, the chance of an isolated shower or storm remains in place for Sunday.

As we enter the weekend, cloud cover will gradually build throughout Friday as temperatures climb to 24°C. Light rain will begin around sunset and continue overnight.

Saturday will be overcast, with heavy rain for most of the day. A few embedded thunderstorms are possible, and daytime highs will be 22°C.

Sunday and Monday will be partly cloudy, with an ongoing risk of showers as temperatures settle in near 24°C.
