Winner claims over $17,000 in June ARCH 50/50 draw

June's ARCH 50/50 grand prize winner takes home $17,660.

Larry Barbarie has strong ties to the organization and the work they do.

Barbarie's wife was a patient at ARCH years ago. His family continues to volunteer and support ARCH through the 50/50 draws.

ARCH is pleased to announce that Larry Barbarie has won $17,660 from the June 50/50 Grand Prize Draw with ticket number #L-1461513. Larry has several connections to ARCH. His daughter, Amy, really enjoys her time volunteering with ARCH helping cook on the weekends. He also has a special place in his heart for ARCH as his wife passed at hospice years ago. End-of-life care means so much to him.

“People in those situations are putting up with enough. Their families take care of them until they can’t,” Larry shared.

The services provided by ARCH allow friends and families like Larry to continue in their supportive roles for their loved one so that the quality of life and family remains a priority. The medical component of palliative care is looked after so the support circle can be there emotionally for the resident. Larry explained why ARCH’s palliative care was appreciated by him and his family, “You’re more than just a patient here.”

Larry is a long-time supporter as he buys tickets for the ARCH 50/50 Draw each month. “I believe so strongly in that place, ARCH is so wonderful,” the winner said.

The winner’s jackpot has a guaranteed minimum of $9,999 and early bird ticket-holders will have a chance at winning an additional $1,000.

Proceeds raised from the 50/50 go directly towards the care and support of hundreds of residents, community clients, and their families served by ARCH each year.
