4th of July Racing at Kinross Speedway

For the second time in the 2003 season, the Kinross Speedway will be holding race events on a Friday Night.

This coming Friday, July 4th brings with it a full 4-in-1 show of Super Late Models, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks and 4-Cylinders PLUS Intermission Kids Rides with their favourite driver.

There will also be a special gift from Mel's Fireworks of Brimely, MI to all the youngsters.

In addition, the Pure Stock Feature is sponsored by Frank Huyck and Sons.

Time trials begin at 6 p.m. with racing to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Entering the night of racing Soo, Michigan native Tim Aho (27) is your current points leader in the Super Late Model Division with 166 pts. He holds that position over the 51 car of Curtis Anderson.

The Factory Stock Division is having one of it's most competitive seasons in recent memory.

#8 Jerry Ball leads the pack with 234 points although only 16 points separate him and his three closest competitors. Strongs, Michigan native Kevin Johnson (37) sits in 2nd.

2001 Pure Stock track champion Barry Glenn (55) is back at the top of the standings here in 2003 with 256 points. That standing is good enough for a 30-point margin over 2nd place runner Ray Golladay (20).

In the Four-Cylinder division, defending track champion John Mayer (9) is leading Hessel, Michigan youngster Jared Nightlinger (48) by 14 points.

The car counts are steadily increasing and the Kinross Speedway is once again providing fun, family entertainment each and every week.

The ¼ mile asphalt oval is located at the Kinross Community Park in Kinross, Michigan.

Take exit 378 off the I-75 and follow the signs.
