A DALEY FIX FOR HOUNDS

The Greyhounds, reeling with a record of 1-5-1, got the good news they were looking for earlier this weekend when the NHL Dallas Stars returned 19-year old defenceman Trevor Daley to the Soo. Winless since an opening night victory over the Owen Sound Attack, Daley returns to a Hound defence that has been decimated by injuries and illness. His return couldn't come at a better time as the Hounds try to close out a three-game homestand with a win over the Kingston Frontenacs tonight. Game time is 6 p.m. at Memorial Gardens. The Hounds and first-year head coach John Vanbiesbrouck have come under fire from some fans and selective media in the wake of the six-game winless skid. On Friday night, the Hounds allowed only 20 shots on goal but still lost a 5-1 decision to the London Knights and many fans were booing lustily, reports SooToday.com sportswriter Brad Coccimiglio.
