Hole-In-One at the Big Toys Par 3 Golf Challenge

Thursday September 22, sixty-four (64) golfers played on a modified layout at Crimson Ridge in support of Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & District of Algoma. The event was presented by Boniferro Mill Works and Horizon Capital Group.

There were hole-in-one prizes on all eighteen holes.

Scott Smith aced the 161 yard number 17 hole to win a $10,000.00 Clarington Financial Mutual Fund sponsored by Horizon Capital Group. Scott’s playing partners, Manfred Fischer, Doug Clute and Patti Sonke witnessed his feat.

Four players had a shot at ONE MILLION DOLLARS. They played Number 15 as a par three from 166 yards.

Prizes were awarded for closest to the hole on all eighteen holes. Thanks to the all the volunteers from Crime Stoppers and the generosity of the sponsors, over $1,500.00 will be donated to Crime Stoppers.

Ron Sonke of Horizon Capital was pleased with the success of the event. “Congratulations to Scott Smith. Horizon Capital Group is excited to present Scott with $10,000.00 for his retirement planning. We look forward to more excitement next year.”

Next year’s event will again take place at Crimson Ridge.
