The Elks 341 Black Sox are heading to the semi-finals of their tournament in Grand Haven, Michigan.
The Black Sox finished the round robin with a 1-2 record, but managed to secure top spot in their pool thanks to a tie-breaker. The semi-final is set for Sunday morning.
The Black Sox opened the tournament with an 8-4 loss to East Lansing. Corey Jackson hit a pair of singles and knocked in two runs while Kris Kerr also stroked a pair of singles.
Game two saw the Black Sox top West Michigan 12-6. Brandon Hansen hit a pair of singles and also had two runs batted in while Rich Lang hit two singles and knocked in a run. Ben Elliot also hit two singles.
The Black Sox then dropped their third game to Forrest Hills, Michigan by a 14-9 score. Jackson hit a two-run homerun to pace the Black Sox.
The Black Sox will face either East Lansing or Lakes Athletics from Ann Arbor in the semi-finals at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
