The Elks 341 Bantam Black Sox opened their 2007 season last night in Sault, Michigan by taking on the Sault High Junior Varsity Blue Devils. The Black Sox went on to win the opener 13-6.

The Elks 341 Bantam Black Sox opened their 2007 season last night in Sault, Michigan by taking on the Sault High Junior Varsity Blue Devils.

The Black Sox went on to win the opener 13-6. Scott Thornton picked up the win in relief of starter Corey Jackson. DJ Carter and Rich Lang also contributed to the 3 hit win helping to strike out 7 batters along the way.

The Black Sox offense was lead by Corey Jackson with 2 singles and 3 RBI, followed by Collin McAuley with 2 singles and 2 RBI. Marc Rouleau also chipped in with 2 singles for the winners.

Next action for the Elks 341 Black Sox is this coming weekend when they travel to Gladstone and Escanaba Michigan for back to back Doubleheaders.
