Big event kicks off Sunday at the Steelback Centre

Steelback Centre - Sunday, November 12

The Sault Sports Council is pleased to announce that this Sunday's Sports & Rec Showcase is ready to "raise the roof" at the Steelback Centre.

Forty (40) exhibitors will be on hand to show off their activities, sell sporting merchandise and provide membership information to the public.

The entire family is invited to participate in free interactive displays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday, November 12.

Some interactive displays include lacrosse, mountain biking, archery, tennis, ultimate frisbee, baseball, football, taekwondo, tai chi, gymnastics and ringette.

The public is also invited to try out fitness equipment provided by various local fitness clubs and businesses.

Demonstrations by various groups will take place at "Centre Stage" throughout the entire event.

Sault MPP David Orazietti will kick off the event with funding announcements in support of local sports initiatives.

Admission is free.

The Sault Sports Council is requesting donations to Christmas Cheer in lieu of admission.

Items such as colouring books, crayons, sketchpads, small toys, craft items, etc. will be accepted at the Steelback Centre's main entrance.
