Dean Breton had a big day as the Superior Heights Steelhawks moved to 4-0 in junior high school football action on Thursday night.
Breton ran for three touchdowns and returned a punt for a fourth in a 53-6 win over St. Mary’s at Superior Heights.
Breton returned a punt 65 yards for a major and also had touchdown runs of 28, 51, and 74 yards for the Steelhawks.
Breton finished the day with 204 yards rushing on seven carries and also had five tackles defensively.
Gabe Barkley had a pair of touchdown runs for Superior Heights on runs of five and 49 yards. Barkley had 96 yards rushing on six carries.
Grant Rains caught a 37-yard touchdown pass for Superior Heights.
Cade McLeod had six tackles and two assisted tackles for the Steelhawks,
Seamus Parlow ran the ball in from six yards out for the lone St. Mary’s touchdown in the game.
Kevin Elie had five tackles and an assisted tackle for St. Mary’s, who fall to 1-3 with the loss.
St. Mary’s returns to action on Oct. 10 against White Pines in a 6 p.m. kickoff at Superior Heights. The Steelhawks will face Korah the following day in a 4:45 p.m. kickoff at Superior Heights.
