CASS, White Pines, St. Basil score hockey wins

The High School Hockey League season continued on Sunday night at Memorial Gardens with three games on the schedule. In the opener, Ian Brodie recorded the shutout as the St. Basil Saints blanked the Korah Colts 3-0.

The High School Hockey League season continued on Sunday night at Memorial Gardens with three games on the schedule.

In the opener, Ian Brodie recorded the shutout as the St. Basil Saints blanked the Korah Colts 3-0. Rob Amadio, Tommy Reville and Cody Reville provided the Saints offense.

The White Pines Wolverines then used goals from Josh Reed and Anthony Silvano in a 2-1 victory over the St. Mary's Knights. Tyler Kasubeck replied with the lone goal for the Knights.

In the finale, the Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies defeated the Sir James Dunn Eagles 4-1. Josh King, Ryan Kent, Nick King and Cal Spurway scored for the Huskies while Nick McEwan replied for the Eagles.

Action continues on Monday at 3:20 p.m. as St. Mary's meets St. Basil at the John Rhodes Community Centre.
