Colts hold on for senior basketball win

Korah moves to 2-0 thanks to a one-point win over St. Mary's on Tuesday night

The lone game in senior girl’s high school basketball on Tuesday night turned into a nail biter.

The Korah Colts improved to 2-0 thanks to a 29-28 win over St. Mary’s.

Amy May had 13 points for Korah while Gracie Sloss added eight points.

Shawna Corbiere led St. Mary’s with nine points.

Tuesday’s other senior game between Superior Heights and White Pines was cancelled.

In junior action, Ashlyn Noble had 21 points as St. Mary’s beat Korah 44-38.

Lucy Lafrance had 14 points for the Colts.

Tuesday’s other junior game saw Superior Heights beat White Pines 43-15.

Emmalie Allard had 10 points for Superior Heights while Elyce Bowman had seven points for White Pines.

The girl’s high school basketball continues on Oct. 8 as St. Mary’s host White Pines and Superior Heights hosts Korah in both junior and senior action.

The junior games begin at 5:15 p.m. with the senior games to follow at 7 p.m.
