A pair of touchdowns in the opening quarter helped the Korah Colts to a week two win over the White Pines Wolverines in junior high school football action on Thursday night at Superior Heights.
Korah took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter en route to a 35-0 win over White Pines Thursday in the lone game on the high school football schedule for the evening.
The Colts got touchdowns from Cole Barbeau, Tyrone Rice, Keegan McAllister, and Tyson Cote in the win.
McAllister had a pair of majors in the win.
Cote finished the day with 49 yards rushing on three carries.
Arwin Shafee had 71 yards receiving on a pair of catches for the Colts.
Defensively for Korah, Jack Tuckett and Wesley Pomeroy had four tackles and an assisted tackle each while Dante Scaglione also had four tackles.
Connor Zack had 36 yards rushing for White Pines on six carries.
Defensively for the Wolverines, Adam Gibson had five tackles and two assisted tackles while Jon Boissoneau had four tackles and two assisted tackles.
The Colts improve to 2-0 following a week one win over St. Mary’s while White Pines drops to 0-2 after a loss to Superior Heights last week.
Korah is back in action on Sept. 20 against Superior Heights. Kickoff is set for 4:45 p.m. at Superior Heights in the first game of a double-header between the two schools.
White Pines returns to action next Thursday at Superior Heights when they face St. Mary’s in a 6 p.m. start.
Week two of the high school football season wraps up on Friday at Superior Heights as Superior Heights faces St. Mary’s.
