The Sault College Men's basketball team overcame a seven point half time deficit to defeat the Mohawk Mountaineers 103-85.

The first half saw both teams struggle defensively but the second half was a different story as the Cougars held Mohawk to just 26 points.

Jean Louis Ouattara and Nate Whalen led the attack with 23 points each while Mike Bouchard and James Tusingwire added 19 and 13 points, respectively.

Sault College is currently tied for the West division lead with St. Clair & Niagara with a record of 6-2 while Fanshawe is a game back at 5-2.

The Cougars now travel across town to play Algoma University this Wednesday January 18th @ 9 p.m.
