Two HSCDSB city records were set Tuesday when the East Zone elementary schools track and field meet was held at the Jo Forman Track.. Alyssa St. Germain of Sister Mary Clare set a new standard in the Pee Wee Girls 200 metres with a time of 26.

Two HSCDSB city records were set Tuesday when the East Zone elementary schools track and field meet was held at the Jo Forman Track..

Alyssa St. Germain of Sister Mary Clare set a new standard in the Pee Wee Girls 200 metres with a time of 26.48 seconds. In Bantam Boys Bradley Walsh of St. Patrick set a new record clearing 1.74 metres in the high jump.

BANTAM BOYS… Bradley Walsh encored his aforementioned city record in the high jump with a win in the 800 metres. Paul Orlando of St. Mark was also a double winner capturing the 200 and triple jump. Mustangs Greg Wishman won the softball throw and Mathew Howsberger the 400m. Alex Morrison of Ecole-Cardinal Leger won the running long jump and the 100.

BANTAM GIRLS… Top performer in Bantam Girls was St. Paul’s Taylor Rocca who won the 100 and 800 metres. Three other Patriots were winners; Rachel McLean in the 400, Danielle Amadio in the triple jump and Tianna Deluzio in the softball throw. Sydney McMillan from St. Patrick’s won the running long jump while the Gators Cassiday Webkamigad shared first in the high jump with Taylor McMillan from St. Mark. Sarah Lucenay of St. Bernadette won the 200.

PEE WEE GIRLS… For St. Germain the record run was part of a very big day. Alyssa also won the 100 and high jump events. Her schoolmate, Jordan Kennedy, was also a triple winner claiming gold in the 400 and 800 metres and triple jump. Another Sister Mary Clare student, Jana Longo, claimed gold in the running long jump. The only Cougar not to win a gold in the Pee Wee Division was Stacey Sutherland of St. Hubert who won the softball throw.

PEE WEE BOYS… Dylan Hebert from St. Mary’s won the 100, running long jump and triple jump. He was also part of the 400 metre relay gold medal team. Schoolmate Dustin Goulet won the high jump. The 200 metre champ was Juston Ordozzi of Sister Mary Clare. Brandon Ladd from St. Patrick’s took the 400 and Jarrett Marasco of St. Bernadette the 800.

ATOM GIRLS… St. Paul took five of the seven medals up for grabs with Sarah Hammond winning the 50 metres and standing long jump. Jaden Cerasuolo won the 100, Bianca Albidone the 200 and Miranda Caruso the softball throw. Meghan Boissoneau of St. Hubert won the high jump and Riley Turbide of Sister Mary Clare won the running long jump.

ATOM BOYS… One of the most competitive divisions with five different schools capturing titles. Jordan Rooley from St. Mary’s took the softball throw crown while teammate Cody Poirier won the 200m. Mark McLean and Taylor Lamoric from St. Paul won the 50 and 100 metres respectively. St. Bernadette’s Aidan McLeod won the running long jump. Kellan Korab from St. Patrick claimed the standing long jump title and Davis Odorizzi from Sister Mary Clare won the high jump.

NOVICE BOYS… Nicolas Sicoly from St. Patrick was a double winning beating the field in the high jump and 100 metres. Matthew Mackay from St. Paul won the 50 metres while Patriots Drake Pilon and Zachary Wikiruk won the running long jump and standing long jump respectively.

NOVICE GIRLS… St. Paul had two winners with Taryn Lamorie winning the 50 metres and Emily Calibani the running long jump. Arian Findlayson of Sister Mary Calre won the 100m. Taylor Tait of St. Mark captured the standing long jump and St. Patrick’s Megan Girardi won the high jump.
