The Sault Firestorm Under 15 Girls Civics Soccer team returned from their third road trip to Southern Ontario for another two games in the Southern Region Soccer League.

On Saturday, the Firestorm played against Dixie and lost a battle 5-0 in a very wet rainy day game. After drying off and traveling to Kitchener for the Sunday game, the Firestorm came back to pick up a 1-1 tie against third place Kitchener.

After the half, the score was still 0-0 with the Sault having many opportunities in the half to finish but could not. Early into the second half, Kitchener began the scoring taking a 1-0 lead.

Shortly after, the Sault put in the equalizer on a penalty kick by Tessa Kasch. The Sault fought hard to try and take the win but had to settle for the tie.

Kitchener travels to the Sault this weekend for the rematch at Tom Tipton Field. Game time is Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
