The Soo Greyhounds continue to search for offense.

Playing in front of a national television audience on Rogers Sportsnet, the Greyhounds were blanked 3-0 by the Guelph Storm on Friday night in Guelph.

The Hounds, who have now lost three straight and eight of their last 10 games, have had trouble scoring goals since the holiday break in December and Friday's contest proved to hold no solution to their woes.

Guelph goaltender Danny Taylor stopped 21 Greyhound shots for the shutout and second star honours.

Ryan Pottruff scored a first period goal for Guelph while Sault product Kelsey Wilson, who fought Hounds defenseman Jordan Smith two seconds into the second period, and Ryan Callahan added second period markers.

Kyle Gajewski stopped 26 of 29 shots in goal for the Greyhounds.

With the loss, the Hounds fall to 17-21-5-1 on the season and remain three points behind the Plymouth Whalers, who hold three games in hand, for top spot in the Ontario Hockey League's west division.

Meanwhile, the Windsor Spitfires have climbed to within three points of the Hounds after a 5-3 win over the Oshawa Generals.

Windsor and Plymouth will both be in action on Saturday.

The Greyhounds conclude their three-game road trip on Sunday against the Generals at 6 p.m.

The locals return home next Friday to face the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
