Soo Greyhounds head coach Craig Hartsburg presented his team with a few options before Tuesday's game four tilt with the London Knights.

Basically, the team could go all out against the Knights and hope to catch a bus to London for game five on Friday or roll over and catch a ride back to their respective hometowns.

"They made all the right choices today," said Hartsburg following a 3-0 Greyhound victory in front of 4,783 fans at the Steelback Centre.

The victory keeps the Hounds alive in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs but still face a 3-1 deficit in the best-of-seven western conference semi-final.

Game five is scheduled for the John Labatt Centre on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Should the Greyhounds extend the series with a win, a sixth game will go Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Steelback Centre.

The victory also snapped a 15-game losing streak against the Knights, dating back to the beginning of last season.

In a change from what had become the norm, the Greyhounds were the ones who saw the bounces go their way on this night.

Despite outworking the Knights in the majority of the games, London was able to pull the pin on their explosive offense late in games to steal victories and capitalize on even the smallest of mistakes.

But on Monday, the Hounds silenced the London guns and were finally rewarded for a hard days work.

Kyle Gajewski played his biggest game in goal for the Greyhounds and stoned the Knights on every chance, including many from close range. In all, Gajewski stopped 33 shots to pick up his first shutout of the playoffs.

The Hounds capitalized on two power play chances as David Kuchejda, who was the Hounds best skater on the night, opened the scoring in the first period and Josh Godfrey sealed the win with his ninth goal of the playoffs in the third.

Dustin Jeffrey also scored in the first period to give the Hounds a 2-0 lead with the teams playing four-on-four.

Hartsburg sat out the last of his two-game suspension and will return behind the bench on Friday.
