The Korah Colts edged the Mount St. Joseph College Royals 45-43 in high school girls basketball senior division action on Thursday. Lauren Pedolski led the Colts with 12 points while Alecia Murtonen added 10.

In another senior contest, Stephanie Thayer scored 20 points to lead the Bawating Braves past the White Pines Wolverines 50-22. Kristen Timusk added 11 points for the winners while Crystal Eisler scored seven points for the Wolverines and Holly Maskell five. Details for the St. Basil Saints and Sir James Dunn Eagles senior game are not available. In the junior division, Korah defeated the Mount 45-36 as Kaitlyn Train scored 13 points and Christina Medaglia 10 to lead the Colts. Miranda Chaimbrone replied with 11 points for the Royals while Kirsty Mancuso added eight. Ashley Clingen scored 16 points to pace White Pines over Bawating 36-27. Bridget Hindermeier scored eight points for the Wolverines while Amanda Whitmell scored 12 points and Sarah Chiarello four for the Braves. St. Basil defeated Sir James Dunn 51-30 on the strength of 12 points from Abbie DiDonato and nine from Katie LaRue. Alexis Ambeault scored nine points and Sarah Miller five for the Eagles. Action continues next Tuesday with three double headers. Bawating visits the Mount, Sir James Dunn travels to White Pines and St. Mary's hosts Korah.
