Tyler Robinson scored two goals to led the Sir James Dunn Eagles past the Korah Colts 6-1 in high school hockey action on Sunday night at Memorial Gardens.

James Campbell, Matt Irving, Stephan Bouliane and David McFadden also scored for the Eagles while Jourdin Morin replied for the Colts.

In the second game of the night, Daniel Martens recorded the shutout as the St. Basil Saints blanked the White Pines Wolverines 3-0. Mike Dias scored twice while Steven Nelli added another.

*** FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10:

The CASS Huskies skated to a 7-1 victory over the Bawating Braves led by a pair of goals from Kyle Brick.

Nick King, Mike Brown, Brennan North, Adam Crack and Nigel Good also scored for the Huskies while Matt Hermes replied with the lone goal for the Braves.

In the second game, White Pines beat Korah 4-1. Ryan Ford scored twice for the Wolverines while Scott Reid and Matt Kane added one each. Tyson Vanderloo scored for the Colts.

*** MONDAY, DECEMBER 6:

In the lone game of the day, Peter Filioglou recorded the shutout and Matt Kudyba scored once and added two assists as the St. Mary's Knights defeated CASS 3-0.

Jason Dias and Mitch Butcher also scored for the winners.

*** SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4:

In the first of two games, Daniel Martens kicked aside every shot he faced as the St. Basil Saints blanked the Korah Colts 8-0.

Frank D'Addetta paced the Saints offense with two goals while singles went to Steve Nelli, Mark Gratton, Steve Luxton, Nick DiCandia, Nathan Richichi and Rob Amadio.

In the second game, Matt Kane and Jamie Ishmael scored two goals each to lead the White Pines Wolverines past the Bawating Braves 7-1.

Matt Ritchie, Tyler Kostiuk and Scott Reed also scored for the Wolverines while Craig Lethbridge replied with the lone goal for the Braves.

*** SIR JAMES DUNN WINS BRONZE MEDAL:

The Sir James Dunn Eagles captured a bronze medal at the Canadian Hockey Cup Tournament in Montreal in early December.

In the bronze medal game, John Ellis recorded the shutout in a 3-0 win over Ajax. James Borelli, David McFadden and Stephane Bouliane scored in the win.

In preliminary play, the Eagles defeated Strathroy 4-2 as Matt Irving scored three times and Graham Dalseg added another. Dalseg, Irving and McFadden scored once each in a 3-2 win over Burlington while Tyler Robinson, Deryl Mills, Irving and McFadden scored in a 4-3 win over Oakville.

Bouliane scored the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Burlington, the team's lone defeat of the tournament.

*** UPCOMING SCHEDULE:

On Wednesday at the John Rhodes Community Centre, St. Mary's meets Korah at 7 p.m. while Sir James Dunn and CASS follows at 8:45 p.m.

On Friday, Bawating faces CASS at 7 p.m. and St. Mary's meets St. Basil at 8:45 p.m. at the Rhodes.

The league will close out the first half of the season with a pair of tripleheaders at Memorial Gardens on Saturday and Sunday before halting play until the new year.

On Saturday at 5 p.m., Bawating plays St. Basil followed by Sir James Dunn and St. Mary's at 6:45 p.m. CASS faces Korah in the final contest at 8:30 p.m.

Sir James Dunn and St. Basil begin Sunday's action at 5 p.m. with CASS and Bawating facing off at 6:45 p.m. followed by St. Mary's and White Pines at 8:30 p.m.
