The Sudbury Wolves skated to a 5-5 tie with the Soo Greyhounds on Friday night at the Sudbury Arena.

The Wolves jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first with two power play goals from Patrik Lusnak and Matt Dias.

The second period was an action packed period with six goals being scored between the two teams. The Greyhounds scored back to back goals to even the score at 2-2. Chris MacKinnon scored on the power play followed by Dustin Jeffery. Sudbury regained the lead 14 seconds later when Dias notched his second of the game. Sudbury’s Kyle Tarini would extend the lead to 4-2 with his first. The Soo’s Brandon MacLean brought them to within one with a goal a couple minutes later. Jesse Messier would then restore the two-goal lead for the Wolves.

The third period would see the Soo fight back to an eventual 5-5 tie. Dustin Jeffery with his second and David Kucheida scored for the Greyhounds.

Kevin Beech played in net for Sudbury, making 37 saves. The Greyhounds’ Matt Hache got the start and allowed five goals on just 24 shots.
