The Soo Greyhounds continue to struggle in their efforts to find the win column.

On Sunday afternoon in Ottawa, the Greyhounds saw a 3-2 lead evaporate in the third period as the Ottawa 67's rallied for a 4-3 victory in overtime.

The Hounds, who have lost four in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10 games, did take home a point with the overtime loss and now sit at 6-11-2 on the season for 14 points and a fourth place standing in the west division.

After Matt Lahey gave the 67's an early lead with a power play goal, the Greyhounds rebounded with a pair of goals themselves with the man advantage as Tyler Kennedy and Cody Thornton beat Ottawa netminder Danny Battochio for a 2-1 lead after one period.

Derek Joslin scored the lone goal of the second period for Ottawa on the power play.

In the third frame, Kennedy scored his second power play goal of the game at 1:35 for a 3-2 Hounds lead but the 67's would rally to send the Hounds home on a sour note.

Jamie McGinn tied the score with a short handed marker with 9:36 remaining in regulation time to set up Robbie Lawrance's game winner just 40 seconds into overtime.

Kennedy added an assist for a three point game and the first star selection while Ryan Kitchen set up a pair for the Greyhounds. Kyle Gajewski took the loss in goal after stopping 31 of 35 shots. The Greyhounds fired 43 shots at the 67's.

Sault product Chris Hulit picked up an assist for Ottawa.

The Greyhounds begin a three-game homestand on Wednesday night as the Sarnia Sting visits Memorial Gardens for a 7 p.m. start. The game will also mark the return of former Hounds Ryan McInerney and Tyson Aitcheson.

On Friday, the Hounds entertain the Windsor Spitfires at 7:30 p.m. before the London Knights visit on Sunday at 7 p.m.
