The Soo Greyhounds have seen enough of Dayne Davis.

Less than a week after stoning the Hounds in the Sault, Davis was up to his old tricks again as the Kingston goaltender led the Frontenacs to a 2-1 victory over the Greyhounds on Friday night.

The loss was the Greyhounds second in a row and dropped their season record to 13-14-5. The team remains tied for first place in the Ontario Hockey League west division with the Windsor Spitfires.

Davis kicked aside 34 of the 35 shots he faced to frustrate the Greyhound shooters.

Bobby Bolt opened the scoring for the Frontenacs in the first period before Ryan McInerney tied the game for the Hounds with his fifth goal of the season with 1:42 remaining in the second period.

But Bolt notched his second goal, which proved to be game winner, just 15 seconds later. Cory Emmerton recorded a pair of assists.

The Greyhounds continued their recent trend of limiting the number of shots on goal as Kingston managed only 21 shots on Jakub Cech.

The game also marked the last for centre Jeff Carter until likely after the World Junior Hockey Championships as the captain has left for the national junior team selection camp.

The Greyhounds conclude their road trip on Sunday against the Ottawa 67's at 2 p.m.

Next weekend, the team travels Guelph, Erie and Toronto to conclude a seven game road stretch.

*** KNIGHTS SET CHL RECORD:

The London Knights set the Canadian Hockey League record for the longest unbeaten streak at 30 games after a 0-0 tie with the Guelph Storm on Friday night.

Gerald Coleman recorded the shutout for London and Adam Dennis for the Storm.

During the sreak, which began at the beginning of the season, the Knights have posted a 28-0-2 record.
